Sustainability in a Care Home

I’m so glad you’ve arrived. Care Home Projects is where I share with you what interests me most. I was a care assistant for 6 years and now a Lifestyle Co-Ordinator, I am the dementia specialist in my team and focus on providing residents with meaningful engagements. In my personal life I enjoy improving the sustainability of my home with gardening, DIY's, crafts, cooking and baking.

Within my job at CareUK I picked up the role of Sustainability Champion in 2024 a new role designed to help improve the sustainability of the site I work. Each home within CareUK will have their own Champion focusing on their own tasks but together improving the whole of CareUk's sustainability.

I have created this blog as a way of tracking and recording our progress digitally rather than a printed article as the start of reducing waste.
